Misty Morn

I'd like to thank my awesome little sister for this top. I wasn't going to even try it on, but she talked me into it and then told me the purple was better than the blue. Goodness, having a younger sister is awesome.




It was super misty this morning but thanks to some wicked awesome hair spray my hair looked like I'd lightly placed it in an electric outlet, instead of a total frizzy mess. Thankfully these photos were taken within 3 minutes of walking outside, so the frizz hadn't won yet. Also, sweet little neighbor kitty wanted to be on the blog again and who am I to deny that sweet face?

Mr. Hipster

You know its a good outfit day, when a random man passes you on the street and tells you "love the outfit." I don't tend to get complimented by total strangers, and certainly not male strangers with thick rim glasses and a big beards. So thanks Mr. Hipster for the nice compliment, it put a pep in my step the rest of the day!



Today was lovely! Just the right amount of busy. I had a super fun lunch with some of my former coworkers. It was so good to catch up with them, share stories, and laugh. Then Peter's mom took us out to a delicious dinner. Nothing is better than wearing an outfit you love, while eating fired green beans and the most delicious s'mores!

Ladies Lunch

I saw this dress a few weeks ago in Target and I snatched it up immediately. I love the cut, the pattern, the sleeves, everything. Plus, its black and white, and a classic pattern! I know I'll have it for years and with a Target price tag, it was just perfect.



Today was ladies lunch at work, which meant 9 of us went out for delicious sushi! I work with a really amazing group of women. It is so fun hear about everyone's life events (3 of us our newlyweds, 1 is engaged, and 1 is going to have a baby) and compare stories. Being a newlywed I love swapping wedding stories, its amazing how we all had totally different events but so many things are so similar. We all agreed we are VERY glad to have our weddings behind us and our marriages ahead of us!

Put an owl on it!

For Christmas our awesome friends Allie & Josh got me this totally sweet scarf. Its got owls and its mustard yellow, I'm pretty sure it was made with me in mind! I decided that mixing it with darker colors and having it pop a bit was the way to go, although to be honest, you might see me wearing this with jorts and a tank this summer I love it so much!



Today was a bit crazy. My computer and the office printer did not speak all afternoon when I had a huge mailing to print. So while I love my little booties, wearing them on a day when I was running back and forth from cubical to printer wasn't the best. Man, was I excited to see my slippers when I got home!

In exciting and not painful news, I registered for the Texas Style Council in March! I am ridiculously excited to spend a weekend networking and hanging out with other awesome fashionable ladies, its going to be a blast!!
