I had been thinking about trying the maxi skirt trend but when I saw this post by the lovely Sydney I knew that I had found just the right skirt to try out.

I decided to pair it with my two loves this season, leopard and rust (or burnt orange as we call it in Longhorn Land) This outfit felt relaxed and comfortable but looked really put together and kind of fancy. I think it certainly caught people off guard which is always fun.

Cardi: Target
Top: H&M (last summer)
Belt: borrowed from a dress
Skirt: Old Navy
Wedges: Target
Bracelet (which I did not get a good photo of): Madewell via Hunt.Gather.Style

  1. is that an elephant belt? nice and classy while being comfy. today i will be in jeans and a long sleeve t. sure you would disprove.

  2. It is actually a flower, from the dress in our engagement photos. I too am in jeans and a tshirt(ish) today, woo for Friday. I did jazz it up with red lipstick and sparkly Toms though.

  3. This is wonderfully darling! LOVE maxi skirts (as you can see from my last post, haha) and just got into the leopard print thing. It's soooooo cute with rust! I need to remember that ,'cause I just got a sweater this colour :)
